Previously, Advisor to the Board and Senior Researcher at ZEW. Background in financial economics. Used machine learning for game programming as a teen, now interested in its omnipresence in economic interactions. Choir singer.

Current research projects

My current research projects focus on the intersections of digital platforms, market design and algorithmic decision-making. Since the Junior Research Group has only recently been set up, my research projects in this area are an almost exact match with the projects of the group. More

Past research projects

Expectations, uncertainty & financial markets

Processing information, forming expectations and acting accordingly is an important driver of economic activity and especially financial markets. My research in this area did focus particularly on the origins and the effects of uncertainty.

Methods

  • Treatment effect estimation under predictive power considerations, in preparation for submission.
  • Testing and visualizing conditional covariate balance, in preparation for submission.
  • Statistical significance as outlier detection, work in progress.
